Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Quote: I do the same thing. LOL That was actually my original plan. I kept saying, when the kids are done with the play structure, I will turn it into a chicken coop and get chickens. But decided not to wait that long..and instead i got a tiny little chicken coop kit that sort of resembles the kids play house ;) It is already too small. DH thinks we should sell the play structure and build a coop instead of converting it. I'm not sure we can get much for it so I'm not sure what the point is.

It sounds like we have similar play sets--it is a deck and sandbox on bottom, with a house above the deck and another deck above the sand box. from sam's club.

Here is Aidyn as Lightning McQueen. After each house we stopped at he would ask "now where are we going daddy?" it was so cute. Then the last house we went to was home to a little 3.5 year old girl. Aidyn tried to hug her! He is such a little flirt with the girls! I'm going to have to keep my eye on him when he gets older.

He is adorable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine are 2 weeks, 3 days - all of them "can" fly up to 2' but they get to enjoy the impact of a wire screen when they do. Yesterday, Rocha caught me by surprise. The minute I took the wire screen off the top of the brooder, she was up on the edge of the brooder all happy and proud.

The brooder box is 2' feet tall. All four of these babies have LONG wings.

DH thinks we might have to clip the littles wings. Our big girls rarely fly over 1 foot - so, we're not exactly sure what we're in for with these 4 chicks. Rhodie will fly up to the top of the coop - but that's about it. She's hasn't pushed her luck too much, yet. When the littles get bigger and start flying, Rhodie might push her luck a little more. Heaven forbid someone should do something better than her.
