It was SO nice to see Honeysuckle Hills, Terror Bird, Slinglings and DawnG yesterday. ..................................
So thank you again ladies for attending yesterday and having dinner with my mom, sister and I. It's always so much fun to visit with other WA BYCer's and good to see all of you again!![]()
I agree! It was a wonderful day and well worth the trip. (Couldn't ask for better road trip buddies
Yes, this is a crazy violent play but you had "warned" us and we knew what we were gonna see.
SadieSue - you are so talented! Loved you in California Suite, feared you in RD, can't wait for the next role!
It was great meeting your mom and sister.
Remind me, please, the title of your sister's book. The one that was just nominated for an award.
I'd like to read it.
I keep b**ching about wanting to get rid of my kids' swing set so that I have room for a real coop and run, but today I realized something--I won't be able to swing with the chickens anymore! They love it, they go limp, their legs stick out and they lay their little beaks down on my arm. It's so sweet <3 I tried to get a picture today but I got pooped on, twice. I've been bragging that I've never once been pooped on since owning chickens, but they got me today. Ginger, Halle and Leila all had sweet little naps on me this afternoon.

e Way to go!!! Hurray LaughingFeather!!!! and good job KKublic!!!
Our wherehouse is in Kent, just across the street from IKEA. They are 4'x4'x4' (I was going to cut the top off of it a few feet and make a raised garden planter - a great idea from ChickieLady). I have to check and see if they will fit in our trailer, DFH will be picking up some more pallets here soon and might be able to fit it in and drop it off to you. You're in Tacoma, too, right?

Oh I doubt that you were the one who screwed up. Frankly I don't think anyone screwed up. I know Slinglings definately did not screw up. I don't know what's going on. Any of the moderators can check here at any time at any of the suspected posts and see that there hasn't been any infractions, (at least none that I'm aware of).
Don't worry about it. Ticks me off that people are being reprimanded for things they haven't done.
There's a screw loose somewhere, but it's not in your camp melissag!
I'm guessing the links Greg and Sarah had as part of their signatures were the problem. Maybe we got a new moderator.
A night light inside the coop?Hi Everyone. I may need some advice. I have a coop that sits about 3ft above the run. My girls access their run by going through a guillotine door that I open every morning, to a 1ft square flooring then down the chicken ladder to the run. (I hope I described that well enough) My girls are good coming upstairs for night, but DO NOT go into coop at night on their own. They settle down right outside that guillotine door all clumped on top of each other. I have to move them a few inches each inside the door so I can close the door (I like to keep things secure). For the past month, I have sprinkled scratch in coop and they went in there briskly and I would shut the guillotine door. However, left to theirselves they just don't take that final step. My question is, should I make that little 1 foot area inhospitable to them hanging out there, or just wait for them to get too big to pile on top of each other and go into the coop? (They are about 10 weeks old). I do believe chickens know more about being chickens than I do, but I just wish they would get to their roosting bar so I can lock them in at night whether I am there at 7:30 or 8:30pm. No, they are not roosting, they seem to be content still sleeping piled on top of each other - there are just 4 of them. Any ideas? Thanks so much in advance.
An excellent pastorial scene. Someone should paint that! If I could I would, but have no talent in that area. I could look at that for hours! If there was a pool going about when I was going to hit the wall, let it be said that it was Monday, April 22, 2013, at 7:54pm PDT, while I was scrubbing the mega-stinky dry dog urine off the floor of the hallway bathroom. I haven't been in the house enough to have noticed it, ugh.
And, for something more enlightening: this is one of the flatter bits of the place where I live, for reference:
