Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Quote: I was wondering if you or CR might jump on this idea -- if it had any merit. I'd really love to see that come together! How will you connect the doors?
Oh.... glad I could help you with your project list!

If I had these it would be so much easier. I could just build the chicken house of doors.

Good morning, all!! So thankful for the wonderful sunshine again today. I just came in from letting the chicks out and my little Leghorn is crowing his heart out. He sounds like a dying squeak toy right now.

I am headed out to Orting in a bit to pick up Logan's new to us swingset. He is going to be so excited. I think my mom may be bringing us her trampoline tonight too, so hopefully that will keep him busy for a couple of days. My 14 yo put on DH's chest waders yesterday and started pulling crap out of the creek to try to improve the flow, Logan told me he wants a pair of his own so that he can go in too. So, now I am on the hunt for a used pair for him. That will help in not going through 4 changes of socks and pants each day.

TC- congrats on the triplets!! Can't wait to see pics of them.

Anyway, I'm off to pick a spot for the swingset, since I didn't think about the fact that I do not have many flat spots on this farm. Good times. Hope you all have a great day!!

Well I have just kind of been skimming posts lately. I HAVE noticed several NEW PEEPS.

To ALL of the new peeps I say

And to the WA thread. This is a great group. But be warned things here tend to move a bit fast at times. IF by chance you post and nobody replies. It's NOT because you're not welcome or that nobody cares. It IS most likely that the ones who know the answer to your question have not seen it yet. I would say IF yer questions go a day without reply. Please ask again.

I am now on the watch for used doors -- gee thanks, jst what I needed; another project :)

Rappelle harness :)
HA HA HA >....................ME ????????????????
And how do I get up on the roof ?
And it is a steel roof...nuttin to "attach" to.......very slippery.
I guess I just have to , maybe, hire someone to do the top.

If the ground isn't too flat, you can always dig a couple of the swingset legs down in the dirt/rock. It might make it more stable anyway? Or, if it doesn't work at all, you could just drive it to my place

When I was about 4 years old (long, long ago!) my dad ordered me hip waders from England so I could go duck hunting with him at our private ponds and not get soaked. I am quite sure those cost him a fortune way back them!

If those doors are the ""paper fiber" type (CHEEEEEEEEEEEEP) they will warp badly after being exposed to rain or extended moisture.
We bought a few of them for our build, had them outdoors but completely covered by tarps,
Still, a few warped and are dished in.....kinda like hollow and just a crappy quality all the way around.
