Hello All,

I'm in Tacoma. Just getting started with 4 Rhode Island Reds. Here are 2 of my girls chilling under the giant rhubarb. More photos to come

Woohoo!! My coop is out for delivery I should get it sometime during our school morning and then I can spend the afternoon putting it together! One thing I'm looking forward to is letting my 5 week olds out of the brooder. They've only ever spent one afternoon alone in the chicken run to fly and play. Now I can put Lucy up top and leave her door open (she will easily be able to hop in there and out from that height) and the babies can play protected from predators and the other big girls in the bottom part of the new mini coop.

I do have a full body harness. But since the attaching point is in the back I don't think it would do ya much good. Could it be reached from a tall ladder?

Extension ladder will get you to the bottom, of the upstairs window.




This was January................it is 3 feet from the ground, to the first floor doorjamb...............so @ 12' to the loft floor, @15' to the upper window sill.............no way can we reach the tippy top.
I am wondering about building some kinda cat walk outside that window......................

The green ladder you see in the loft, is a 12 footer........

My chickens ate every shred of my rhubarb, and it finally died...................

I toured the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden yesterday. It was a fabulous day for it. I successfully limited myself only one plant purchase. There were several I wanted very much.
