Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

In need of immediate rehoming, free to good homes: White Cochin Large Fowl pair, Silver Leghorn Large Fowl pair, Silver Leghorn Cockerel, 3 Black Sex link hens of unknown age (they randomly showed up one day and stayed) but they are laying.

But you haven't been here long enough to pick up my clumsiness! Here, have some cute chickies to cheer you up.
Glad there is no water in that bowl !!!!!!!!!!!! And 2 days ago I dropped an egg right outta the lockdown bator, (

It was looking up at me with 1 eye that was peeking out...).... it had pipped & could not get out, well, after I picked it up & stuck the fractured egg back in the bator, it hatched out just fine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good to know that I didn't violate the Most Important Law of Incubators. Question: when I move the chicks into the next stage brooder (tonight or early tomorrow) would it be OK to sort the Hamburgs and d'Anvers into separate groups then? I'm going to want them to be separated for basic managment reasons but the difference in size sort of scares me, to be truthful.

Repeating as a separate post, because I really need to know if this is when I need to do this:

Yes, you can separate them at any time as long as no one breed has only one solitary chick. I move mine around between several brooders/pens depending on interactions between the birds.
