Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I am new to raising chickens. I am in Puyallup and am putting up my coop now. Doing lots of research but finding it hard to figure out where and when to get my chicks. Any leads on where to get chicks in or near Puyallup?
I have found a guy in the Covington area by Pacific Raceways that posts his birds on Craigslist on a regular basis. He has many breeds to choose from, plenty of rare beauties. I have had excellent luck getting healthy beautiful chicks as well as juvenile girls from him. I always filter to S.King and look for the number ending in 6300 saved in my phone as ChickenGuy then just call him and ask him what he has that he is willing to part with, or what is due to hatch soon. He loves showing off his little farm, always a good trip!
His current ads on there:

As I understand it the "Chicken Guy" buys his birds at auction or where ever he can get a bargain, so it can be hit and miss as far as quality, health, purity of the breed, etc. I'm really glad you got good birds that you've been happy with.
I've purchased from several "breeders" online and from feed stores, I won't do either again. Also had a very negative interaction with another local breeder selling on ebay, so he hasn't been my only experience even though I am only a year into it, just the most dependable.
In fact, I am going to try my 1st hatch soon from shipped eggs in my new christmas bater!

For me has had the best birds by far and is very passionate about his chickens which I appreciate. All 4 times I was there last year he had plenty of chicks in brooders that he hatched out from his own breeding pens. He has also been persuaded to sell me a couple from his breeding pens begrudgingly. Fom what he has told me he orders his intial breeding stock (hatching eggs and day old it sounded like) from Greenfire much of the time (which I know some here don't feel is reputable). I know that he has told me that he does not take birds (roos) back after they leave his farm because it is a contamination risk.
My experience has been great, I don't breed, I just like pretty hahaha. So I keep his number as my addiction grows

First batch went in incubator yesterday. Langshans and Leghorns. Although most are being donated to the 4-H club. I will be selling chicks starting in March, Juveniles probably starting in May. Most likely Buff Leghorns and Black Langshans. Whites and Blues will be later in year after my quotas are met since those birds are younger and not laying yet. Spangled Old English Game will be available as juveniles later in year. Maybe a few chicks in Feb and March, and then again in May.

I plan on hatching some ameraucanas as soon as I make a spot where Duke can't see the EEs in their pen. I need to hatch chicks from the three year old hens. I'm not planning on selling, though.Just want to grow my flock.
