Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

And I have to show you guys a mini orchid I have, in a 2" POT, that is so happy on my kitchen window sill...it has (so far) 12 blooms and shows no sign of slowing...it is spectacular !

The 2" terra cotta pot is inside a coffee cup !

Guess I better go candle eggs & get on with getting dinner done.
G'night all

I was super impatient about getting babies so we went to Monroe feed on Friday and picked up 7 chicks! 4 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Americauna's, and 1 Silver Lace Wyandotte. So far , everyone is happy and healthy as can be.

Hey! Anyone know of a black copper maran breeder in washington? Not hatchery stuff. And also a real ameraucana breeder with blue eggs? I want to have colorful eggs to collect this next round! Anyone in enumclaw or king county that hatches them?

I have had great luck with a fella in Kent by Pacific Raceways. He has many rare breeds and sells only on Craigslist, phone number ends in 6300. My favorite hen is a BCM that I got from him, she is gorgeous. I've also gotten a couple Blue Wheatens from him that I love...and some Chocolate Orps...and....he is bad for my chicken math!

Actually, this is a "strip quilt" as is it's twin "stacked bricks" BOTH are strip quilts, which are so super easy and so super fast !!! You cut strips as wide as the colored sections, and sew them long to the white sections. The sewed sections can be as wide as your fabri is...which is nice to use up fragments.... after all that, you press it opn, and then rotary cut the braids, or bricks as they call them in the stacked brick quilt. A stacked brick has a white section on each end, a french braid has just one white. THIS was one I made for my son...and it also is easy peasy !!! close up !!! The back of this huge quilt was shown here...love this "watercolor" looking fabric!!!
beautiful! Live the drama of the bright colos on black and the watercolor fabric too. Those and batiks are my favs.
