Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Has anyone had any experiences with wryneck?? I have a 2 week old sweet barred rock chick that started on Monday....we started a regimen with polyvisol, selenium and vitamin e through an eye dropper and separated her from our ten other chicks....it's been up and down....was going to have her euthanized this morning as she was worse than ever first thing, and when I went down to get her to take to the vet, she was up and eating and moving around again!

Here are my mystery white chicks. I was told one of them is a White leghorn. I'm not sure what they told me about the other one - maybe a Wyandotte?? However, she is feathering in all white with absolutely no other color. I'm thinking now she is either a White Plymouth rock (which the store said they didn't sell) or maybe a large white leghorn.

One week old mystery chick - White plymouth??

4 weeks

And the one we think is a white leghorn at 1 week.

Here they are together. (top = red star, left is mystery chick and right is the leghorn. The big bird behind them is a Rhode Island Red)

where would be a place to get good quality black australorps ?

(less than $100 for twenty chicks)

Your goals are not compatible, you can't get good birds for cheap. Kevin Noorlander is the guy to talk to for Australorps in the NW he's an APA Hall of Fame breeder and has some wonderful birds. I will PM you his phone number.

Are you sure they are 2 different breeds ?
I was looking at their shanks side by side...they look like the same breed, but one is male & the other female ?
What kind of combs do they have ?
I cannot see any comb in the photos so was wondering if it is a pea comb, or cushion comb breed ?
