Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

That poor chick. I hate when they are escape artists.

My silkie chicks are finally getting to big to squeeze out of the little holes they were using
If any keep getting out, round them up for my Laotian friend, Sy, who wants "Black Cheekun"

They claim to have very much big powers for the human body & reproductive parts, as well as healing powers..................................(smirk !)

Hubby in California ?
We still have 1 more load down there in storage (we were there as kids, I moved here, Gary & I reunited 15 years ago & I MADE HIM move back here, CANNOT stand Cali !!!, hopefully your DH & BIG DOG get back up here fast !!!

Only 11 more days! We're both in the coast guard and he just got his orders here. I transferred up in June, but actually graduated from south bend so basically moved home, lol. I just ordered a "hotter" fencer and an air horn. Gonna scare the hair off the bear!

So I've discovered Autumn Farms which I believe is here in WA. I'm in the same boat as you--I'll drive to get some quality, well-bred birds. I was poking around on Fancy Chick last night. My dream would be a couple Lavenders and a couple Jubilee. Okay and maybe some Blues. Ok, who am I kidding I want Chocolates too! But I digress! lol
chicken math at its finest .

Autumn Farm Orps is in Monroe (Snohomish cty) I have bought hatching eggs from them and have always been more than happy with their birds and they are super helpful! I have Orps from a few different sources but Autumn Farms are by far the nicest. My chocolate is so fluffy and round I named her Cocopuff. At 3 months old she's the same size as my American Buffs and they are full grown.

Hi Chickie Lady and everyone else,

I have 4 hens and have had them for 3 weeks (except thinking the black Ameraucana may be a rooster by the size of her tail, I sure hope not though). She has a very small comb and no wattle. They are all between 3-4 months old with the black on being the oldest by 3 weeks. I Love them so far but I find I am not getting the indoor chores done so I can be with them out in the yard. 1 Barred rock, 1 Rhode Island red and 2 Ameraucanas. I just started posting to this site yesterday although have been a member for just over a month go to my original welcome page if you are interested in my story. I have never had chickens before but have had many tropical birds including a Scarlett Macaw who is very curious about the new flock out in the yard that she watches from the window and porch. I won't let them get together though and even wear different shoes when I' m outside in their coop/run area.

Oh good to know! I love the name Cocopuff! :D
I'm so excited because we are going to grab lumber this weekend to build the bigger run to go with the bigger coop for the addition of English Orpingtons so they have somewhere to go once the hunt for them gets down and dirty! lol
I recently saw some that had been started from Korfus bloodlines in person in the Blue and Black color and was just so floored. Ok, and I was drooling a bit!

The blues are so pretty! I've got 4 blue hens that I rescued from a hoarder about 8 months ago. They are so friendly and great layers. I get 1 egg a day from each of them like clockwork and I've hatched some chicks from them that turned out just as nice.
