There is 2 kinds of people at feed stores (generally) and #1 is the horse girl (in her teens or young 20s) and the second is the owner/manager/ or otherwise is out for sales and yes, they want to sell their stuff.
The #1 girls just want to do their shift & go home and ride....

...........none of these people have much of any interest in your poultry.

Do Ameraucana chicks have a specific leg color? I have one (was told it was an Ameraucana) that has gray/green legs. Do they just have one leg color or a variety of leg colors and does mine fit within those colors?

Leg color has alot to do with the feather color of the bird, as well.
My Blue Ams has blue/slate legs.
In some breeds, skin and leg color is essential to identity of the breed.

I live close to hwy 2 just off of 20th. Well that would be great we will definitely have to talk more. once I get them I will learn a lot more about them.

The other problem is I have high school...

Hello people from Washington. Just a question For anyone who lives near lake stevens. Who do you use as a sitter for your ducks or chickens? I am new to BYC and I will have 3 ducklings here in 2 weeks. I will be leaving town for about 10 days in July and I was wondering if someone could recommend anybody. Thanks

T-Hi lives in Puyallup now....and she is the only duck mistress I know of out there.

Okay, thanks! I'll start looking! Grape vines sound fantastic.

Grapes do very well if the variety is appropriate with your weather.
However, be advised, if you want COVER then you let the vines crawl, and produce shade.
If you want grapes, then you prune back every year to force strength into the flowers/grapes.
Unfortunately, you cannot have both.
Grapes, in mid summer , need to be exposed to the sun & vine leaf plucked away.
If you want vines for grapes, do not let them grow wild.
You may get a few, eevry so many years, but grape vines are grown on wire & pruned & plucked as they arre, for a reason.
Study WHY you want them.

For Example: If you just want a cover plant, Northwest KIWIS are a kick.

ok.......now I have 1 hatched Peking Duckling..his mates failed..........

Gotta go to the store & get him a stuffed duck to be with....last time this happened we ended up having a duckling in the house & I put it on Einstein, and what happened after that was :

Grapes actually do well. The chickens will eat any leaves they can reach. Getting fruit can be hit or miss depending on variety and heat.

I would think grapes too…but if the fruit is accessible….be forewarned, you may not see any….vbg…..birds like them too. I lost most of mine last year because they were able to hop up on the trellis….
