Welcome Back !

@Lil Go Peep
And how old are you now? I'm 21. We were practically neighbors. I was born in redwood city and I grew up in San Jose too, on the west side, ******* Campbell. I lived behind the water company on bascom, down the street from theprune yard and the giant white boat car wash. California has sucked and will always suck. It's the people, honestly.
@Chickielady
that includes you too
They can get the **** away from our water. They'll waste it all on their front lawns.
I agree. They really do not know how to control themselves and do not appreciate anything, especially wildlife.
What makes this Pacific Northwest so magnificent, and Beautiful, is all the places with no people !

I seriously want to give California back to Mexico !

Going back to San Francisco, Day City, San Bruno a few years ago just blew my mind !
We drove for hours through the neighborhoods along El Camino, and saw only asians................not that I mind Asians, it was just a shock !
Einstein's Dad had a string of Pizza Parlours, which started with the Brahauben, now called Zorba's
43458ee8beb160db293c1e3bd54357b9

He went on to franchise the Round Table & the brick Oven "take it & Bake it" pizza parlours, among others.
He sold them all & retired to Lake County, where he still lives today, although we moved back up here about 1980.
I love the old pizza parlour !

I got 2 new Hygrometers, the fail safe old fashioned kind, so I could check on my 2 incubators (which have digital thermometers & hygrometes)
And just as I suspected, my humisity was way too high in the incubator, and the hatcher.
About 20% too high !
I can hook up 10 digital therms & hygroms to 1 incubator, and get 10 different readings !

The stem hygrometers (with the wick attached) are RIGHT ON, every one is reading the same.
So...every so often I calibrate, due to our air heavy with humidity in Jan & Feb, and then drying out as we get to summer...for some reason the digitals can never get it right, and there is no way to calibrate a digital thermometer or hygrometer.
So....set some eggs in the hatcher & see how it goes.
What else to do on a dreary day ?

I lived on Second street in Campbell- could sit on porch and see water tower- lived in same house since I was 2 yrs old- Westmont I was class of 1999 even I didn't graduate - Mr Crabtree was a really good Ag. Teacher and Ag. Was why I chose Westmont - I wanted to get into show through the 4h but couldn't afford it- Westmont had its issues but was still decent compared to my other choice-

People there are terrible I agree, but in a lot of cases you get that anywhere now days-

I checked our egg situation and most every egg took, except when I hit my moms bantam BBS bunch- down to 11 eggs that did take- apparently out of 2 hens someone's not gettin any lovins and I don't know which one -

Now it's the wait until the next candling to weed out the for sure ones that won't be hatching

Sorry for any typos im still jazzed up on meds - had to make trip to ER at 3 am this morning for a allergy induced asmtha attack- finally got home couple hours ago and rather exhausted - you wouldn't think that's take a lot of you to "try" to breathe but it really does

Class of '72, and the Horse stables ("the Ranch") were right behind the Ag farm, towards Quito Rd (between Quito & the RR tracks) which now is a cloverleaf for Lawrence expressway.........

I have athsma too...hope you feel better.
And all sorts of auto-immune disease.
I just got a lovely long haired cat 2 mo ago & I adore her (and she is all over me!) and I do believe I am allergic to her.............

and may have to give her up.
Maybe you need to trim cushions (the fluffy part around & under the chicken's vent.
Cochins are notorius for having too much fluff making fertilization difficult if not impossible.
I even had to trim my Bielefelder's cushions to get fertility !

I used to live on the peninsula right before moving up! Those Zorbas must have been closed for awhile, since I've never seen them. There's always been asians....the chinese there are huge ********, especially in SF. My friends from Texas were shocked & scared of them.

This Zorbas on El Camino, Millbrae, has been there forever.
It was a grocery back in the 40s...then Einstein's dad made it the Brahauben...........pizza-pub about 1960 ???
Then he sold it to the Zorba guys about 1980.
It has been opened continuesly since 1960 as 1 pizza parlour or the other.
The other 2 Zorbas just opened recently, like within 2 years ago I am guessing.

I am bored to death today !
I have done all my chores, cleaning & laundry yesterday & have nothing to do today !

I do not know what to do !
I am encapable of relaxation !

OK, maybe I'll go paint a picture or some fun crafty thing ???
I've been told I should take up smoking herb....................................but I cannot handle it, and just want to eat until there is no food left in the house.
Last time I ate an entire 1/2 gallon jar of dill pickles & then drank all the juice !
lau.gif
That was my first & last time back in 1984 ???

Nope, no herb for me !
Besides I have allergies & athsma.
Ah, what I need is wine~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~then I can sit still & paint....
wink.png

I'll probably fall asleep if I do that.
