Well, apparently the little, previously squished, silkie is a grateful thing. She was being very friendly today. I'd been working on her for the last several weeks and she resisted being picked up. Today she didn't mind so much and came over to see me. I carried her around a bit and gave her some broken up, unsalted peanuts. Everyone loves peanuts. They fight over them, so she got special all to herself.

Oh boy, do I have a lot to learn! I was thinking Cocci was the reason for quarantine. I'll see if I can find some threads on it. I may see if I can rig up some sort of physical space barrier between the chicken tractor that they'll be in and my other three when they free-range. I could probably use the T-posts from my asparagus bed. Hmmmm... thinking cap on.
Maybe due to the fact you areOK so now I am confused. See I also thought he said ELgin and that is what I searched for. I didn't notice that I found EGlin !!!I have no clue now!!!![]()
This design is so AWESOME !!!! I guess I am going to have to post a pic of my "baby" quilt my Great Grandma made for me a few years ago when I was like 5. It was a bribe in trade for my bottle. (which is another funny).
I have all of my water's inside the coop or barn and they always freeze!BUT Maybe it's just that by the time you wobble yer old crippled self out to the coop the temp has warmed and they are all thawed !

My Mother tells horror stories of the tarantulas in the desert at Eddie's Air Patch...we had a wee trailer to live in off base & she had to put coffee cans full of water on every crib leg to keep the tarantulas from climbing into the crib...LOLMy father was in the Air Force for a long time. I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. He had been flying helicopters and then switched to C5s, so we eventually ended up in Delaware. He left the military and we were able to convince him that we should move out here in 2002.
My mom had her own problems with the whole process, like being stuck for a while in the south where there were lots of cockroaches and large spiders. At least she only had me to deal with!
I agree !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My mother-in-law had 4 kids and was a Navy wife. My mom had 3 and was an Air Force wife. Both of our families moved all over the US. I grew up in military housing and went to 3 different elementary schools and 2 high schools. It's been so nice to live in one place for the past 12 years!
