He is no bigger than Mr Peeps, actually much leaner but about as tall...he has yet to fill out as Me Peeps did, I'd guess he is @ 15-16 pounds, very long though, they always look longer when not puffed up & struttin'

If Slinglings isn't going to the show, I can bring them back for her.
I know I have those pieces but I looked all day & cannot find them.
I did find a bunch of strips without the square sewn on.
These strips can be sewn together for a 3 patch, or add the square for a french braid.
I'll bring them to the show if anyone wants them, there is blues, greens, blacks, purples, red/pinks and yellows.

Growing up doesnt even begin to describe this little girl! She is a big girl in a little body! She's a tough little cowgirl thats for sure! The first few months having Emily here was hard to handle. Chloe was doing bad bad things to her sister. Luckily so far those acts of meanness have stopped. Now she just wants to play with Em, and help Momma.

The taking of the door trick works wonders I tell yah! And MUCH easier to teach her that lesson now, than when she is 13, Im guessing! lol
She reminds me very much of myself when I was at that age, the oldest, and Daddy's girl !!!!!!!!!!!
And when dady came home from the AF, he was mine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sharing him with a baby sister was horrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But yes, I got over it, kind of......

I don't have any issues with Oregon! I was born and grew up there on the dry east side. Most my family is still there in the Hermiston area.
I love Oregon, lived in Coquille, Coos Bay, Glide & Ione.
can't decide which I liked the best, Glide was the coldest/wettest..................Coquille & Coos Bay are AWESOME as it Yochats....Ione is DRY...wind never stops....fantastic mule deer & Elk out there though....far & few between "villages"

Bleh. My BCM has some sort of flea or mite. I haven't seen it, but she's dropping all sorts of black poo or egg sacks off her rear end into the nest boxes. I had skipped the Eprinex for the fall but now I guess I have to do it tonight for everyone. Bummer, it's cold and I don't want to stand in the dark coop. Plus now I have to clean out the coop and nest boxes. I think it's the straw. I got rid of all the straw in the run just a few days ago since I had a feeling it was harboring (or had the potential to) bugs. Guess we're starting fresh entirely with dirt/sand in the run and a light layer of shavings in the coop for winter. Think I'm switching to shavings in the nest boxes too, just to ward off bugs. Lots of DE too!

FYI if one has mites, they all have mites.
Watch for "muddy dirty looking cushions" the area just below the vent...that fluffy poof of feathers ?
Eprinex will help & takes seconds to drop on the birds after dark falls...spray the coop down with Permethrin II as per directions, I do 4 T per gallon of water, spray everything for a few days in a row, every nook & cranny.

It's been one those days...

I've been so focused on all the different Cub Scout activities this week, I haven't gone shopping. Woke up this morning to no breakfast foods in the house. No bread. No cereal. No milk. Only 4 eggs. Couldn't make breakfast for the kiddos so we skipped church. I could only imagine how crazy they would have gotten in Sunday School if they had to go on an empty stomach. Went to Subway to eat, then shopping at Sam's Club. The kids got into their "me first" out the van door modes and I stopped to deal with it. While I was talking to them, not paying attention, I locked and shut all the doors. Got ready to walk into the store only to look in and seeing my keys hanging in the ignition.

Had to wait for DH to get off work, drive home, get the keys, and meet me at Sam's Club. So, the kids and I spent the day wandering around the Supermall. Every time they started in with "Can we go now" all it took was a quick glance and they stopped whining. LOL. Having to wander around the mall for hours was an annoying natural consequence, but I think it may have been an effective one!
Oh I hate the keys locked in the ignition thing !!!
I have never done it, but DH has !!!
Luckily I have a set in my purse, so we were OK.....

Gotta go make a pizza, and remembered today is lock down on my hatch of blue Copper Marans.......
Almost forgot it !!!!!!!!!!!
Too busy with quilt stuff, a fantastic Seahawks game and a really weird NASCAR race.
DH was tripping the channels between the race & the football game.
Was a BIG fight on the NASCAR race, after a BIG wreck.....an on purpose wreck..oh boy they are in trouble !

Made the Toll house cookies all the while & with Pamela's GF baking mix rather than wheat flour, the cookies turned out exactly the same as with wheat flour !!!!!!!!!!!
EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone who has to go GF, Pamela's baking mix, and Pamela's bread mix is the way to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I learned my lesson about leaning any plywood against walls on the inside of a run to block wind. Fed the birds this morning and when I went out a few hours later, the plywood was knocked over, probably from the EE chicks flying up and playing on it. I figured I'd go pick it up and get it out of there for the time being. I lifted it and almost screamed. One of the 8.5 week silkie chicks was splatted under it. The poor thing was barely breathing and was so cold and stiff. It was still about 30* when I found her.
Scary! Saw the pic you posted of her afterwards...beautiful Silkie!
