Oooh, Sheep, what kind strike Your fancy…..Mine are just fleece and lawn mowers……2 horned Icelandics a black and a cream w carmel spots, 2 Shetland, Finn, Gotland brothers, one is white with fuzzy fleece and his bro is black with a shinny wavy fleece……and 3 Shetlands, brown, white and black.

Ooh yours are much fancier, and require shearing !
These are lawn mower/meat-for-the-freezer ! They require no shearing as all their hair falls out in spring, fodder for every bird nest in the area.
I have no back for shearing anymore, and no dog to work the sheep and they are awful to try & catch !
Maybe have to buy a sheep dog from Diane !

It is interesting how resistant to parasites they are, amazing how teins are born often, and ewes need seldom help birthing and never help raising 2 lambs...and did I mention, NO SHEARING ? They are also reported to be really docile & easy to handle, even the Rams, and mature in 6 months !?!?!?

I have been there 2 weeks, and ain't going no more !
The rest of the family men folk will go this week end & finish the patio roof, I get to stay home !!

And paint !!!
I have a sketch on the table for 2 weeks now, waiting !
I also made curd yesterday, and today I incoulated with blue cheese, and reset it in the press....tomorrow it comes out & gets poked full of air holes, and rubbed with salt, and covered in clean cheese cloth to set & age~~~~~~~~~~~~~~and age~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~and age~~~~~~~~~~~~~~as long as I can stand it !

That's so cool. I would like to learn more about real food making. I'd need access to the supplies, but who knows what the future holds. I'm allergic to blue cheese, the penicillin, but I love the stuff, we'll before I had to stop eating it. Oh well it's better to have loved and lost....

Careful, Penicillin allergies can produce some outrageous Anaphalaxis results !

Careful, Penicillin allergies can produce some outrageous Anaphalaxis results !

I've got one if my kids that inherited my allergy too, so far we've both had it noticed at the red all over rash stage, so we know not to take or eat it. But I do miss a good Bleu cheese dressing, or on burgers, etc.
