I wish our ground wasps would retire already! Flippin flies and mosquitos are still about too. The first dragon fly went down a couple days ago do I know those darn stingy things will go dormant soon too.

MY FIRST EGG!! EVER!!! I've never been so excited about something so simple! But what a wonderful surprise this morning! The precious POL Chocolate Orpington that I bought 2 weeks ago rewarded me with this! So now the big question. I have 8 week old's and her, what/how to feed now? Her egg shell was nice and strong but she is eating grower crumble with the babies.
We took the picture with her egg next to a store bought size large egg.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could keep feeding her the grower feed and put a second feeder of layer feed in or just a container of oyster shells in for her.

Congrats! I love that feeling - I'm still having lots of fun picking up eggs and most of mine have now been laying for a month. My husband always leaves the eggs for me to collect if he gets home first, since I still enjoy collecting them so much  I have a couple of different ages as well, and I just put out oyster shell on the side - they seem to eat it as they need it.
