Question... Is it at ALL possible for Black sex links to NOT be BsL...? Because one of my BSL (All one week old today) has started getting tail feathers. The others have not.

If there was a mix up in chicks (Not that I mind...) what other Chicks could be all black at hatch? (They are now getting white on their bottoms and chest)

Front chick (with tail) chick at water dish (no tail). The other also has no tail.

Different chicks can feather at different rates. One having tail feathers before the others does not mean that it's a different breed.

Kid woke me up at O'dark thirty. Unfortunate due to shenanigans of last night. Here's the breakdown.
4.30pm: Lucy(our st.Bernard mix) is outside, starts going CRAZY.
4.32PM: Lucy chases raccoon away from chicken coop and takes off at a dead run after said attempted theif.
9.30pm: Dog still isn't back home.
I was up until 11.30 last night waiting for that dog, and she showed up with a raccoon tail in her mouth. Smh. Points for dedication...?

Regardless, all chicks accounted for. No casualties....(Except the raccoon)

The little one crawled into bed with me at some point last night. She's 4 years old, but sometimes, just having Momma near by helps her sleep more soundly. Otherwise, I'm sure she would have been up at 5:30, pestering her brothers as usual...
