It turns out that I cannot go to the show tomorrow because I have to find a new home for my rooster. He's the one responsible for injuring combs, wattles and earlobes in the past week. I think I'm going to give up roosters and switch to geese! I'll try to make it to the next show.

I've noticed that my cousin's free-ranging chickens very carefully avoid all the mushrooms in the orchard, including some very prime edibles (The Prince, Shaggy Mane, Giant Puffball).

We bought a new carrier so we have two. Boxes for any extras. Stuffing the generator in the back. Picked up some styrofoam bowls and spoons cheap at Cash & Carry.

Getting up early to make the potato soup before we head out. Crockpot is out already. I suck at making small snacks, and with my back right now, the soup is about as much as I can handle since it's easy and I can peel potatoes while sitting. It's gluten free. No need to thicken it with anything but itself.

So we will be picking up two 4 month old semi feral barn cats this weekend. I can't wait. We really need them. They are young enough, I'll try and tame them down some. The GSD is going to think they are there to eat her.

So I put Louise back out with her flock. She was so irritated being in the cage in the house, poor thing! She had her eyes open all day and her tail was back up?? I don't know how she got better so fast! Still doing Corid for everyone for a week though. OK gotta get kids in bed, bbl!

No, I sadly won't be coming. My son's time trial starts at 2pm, then we have a family game night later. But Pretty sure DW and I will come to the show in Seattle in March.

Oh and I forgot to mention I probably won't make it. I was coming to deliver birds for CR and I just found out tonight he changed his mind and didn't tell me. I really really need to get these dang cockerels to the Enumclaw auction. They should have gone a month ago and are eating a ton of food. I could take them to Yardbirds but would have to leave too early. It will take me a while to get them boxed up and it doesn't get light until 8. There must be around 20 of them!

Some are looking for Splash Marans, no copper leakage....so save those guys !!
