I am kinda in a quandary what to do with the other 5 I have in my bachelor pad my little wood coop

well it could be but my oldest are 5 barred rock that are just a 1 1/2 now
everyone else was this spring

My SLW's laid eggs almost daily for the first 18 months. Then they had their first hard molt. Between that and me getting a few new chickens it's sort of sent them in a funk for a couple months. They're a little over two years old now and should be molting soon but I probably get about four or even five eggs a week from each one of them.

Of course you do. Once the days start getting longer, they will start laying again. And their eggs will be even bigger. The drop in production in fall is normal for mature hens. And it's good for them to have a break from laying.

Typically Silkies are really sweet and docile. Well the pullet currently indoors (she wonked her leg up somehow) missed that memo... We now have a bity splash silkie pullet.
