I have three hens molting right now...

I am happy to hear that hour chickens are molting. I did not know fowl will molt in the winter.
I have several ducks that are molting and that was confusing me and wondering if they had a problem.

All - do you know what is the best way to have a necropsy done on a dead backyard flock chicken? Any free necropsy anywhere?

My friend, Penny, who I got my fertilized eggs from and additional chicks, found me the most adorable play house that I'm going to turn into a coop! It's only $300!!! Now, got to figure out how in the world we are going to get it loaded and into my back yard!!!

It's $30 or $40 at the Avian lab down in Puyallup. It's been a few years since I took one in

it can packed in dry ice to send

Surprisingly, she's still alive as of this AM. We took her in for the night and she's eating and drinking right now, and standing!
