Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Another one, this one is true !
We are getting 2 reg Boer/Nubian doelings...so I have occupied my working hours thinking of names.......I started with, oh well, here is the story:

I walked up to Einstein & told him " I have thought of an excellent name for one of the does !"
He says "what ?"
I says "Jane" and I cracked up (so proud of my funny name) and he did not think it very funny....and rolls his eyes.............so I said " well, if you can think of a better name, go for it"
So he looks me in the eye very serious and says    (  :lau   ) DOESIE...............:gig

So the fight is on !
FOR A WEEK.we have thought up names..............and so far I have won...
Here's mine:

1) Jane Doe
2) Tae Kwan Doe
3) Sour Doe
4) Weird Doe
5) Wall Doe
6) Pizza Doe

and then Einstein hit me with his name this morning:

ok, I got more names, but he got the best one !!!!!!!!!!    :lau

Oh my! I just about had to change my underwear!!!!

I use a push pin to put a hole in the end, then suck out the insides. Works better than trying to actually blow. May need to scramble it with a long needle.

No, raw egg doesn't gross me. I ate enough of them growing up. I still eat raw cookie dough. Not usually whole eggs anymore, but I will the yolk sometimes.
I was missing a step. I do eat cookie dough. I have never eaten a raw egg. Do you like it? Sorta like people enjoy raw clams?

Bee if you let it dry in the window there is no pin whole
see most of the new ones do not have a yolk it is the
white of the egg only.. I know we always ate cookie dough
still do

I'm going to be planting some new seeds in my yard. Any ideas for cheap and easy temporary fencing to keep the chickens in certain parts of the yard?

Also, I can't really pound steaks into the ground because it is all rock. I remember seeing a post that didn't require being pounded in. But I don't know where I saw it.

Good old fashioned chicken wire....... or 2x4 wire fencing. It depends on how much work you want to put into it and how long you want it to last. Make a dome on a frame and place it over what you are protecting. That is what I am going to do over my garden beds when I plant this spring. That way I can keep both cats and chickens from digging up the little seedlings. I hate finding cat poop the hard way......
