I am starting to think the visitor is not cockerel but hen there is no
male behavior the girls have taken to it roosting there

4 eggs yesterday AND today! Plus, I just cracked one of the larger ones for a sandwich and it was a double yolk! Not bad considering they have only been laying for about 2 weeks!

Double yolks happen most often in the young

Yeah, been out here for about 8 months. I only have 9 chickens. Once I get the property fenced in I plan to get more. They free range for the most part. This is my first time with chickens. My coop is posted too. Thanks for the welcome
