Why did the chicken go to church? Because he wanted to be a bird of pray.

Hubby asks "was it a Klingon church? That's where the Birds of Prey are."

Finally banded every non-juvenile silkie except for the giant boys. I need to order Number 11 bands for them. The number 9s work for all of the others.

Weighed Raditz (4 lb 7 oz) and his 5 month old son Broly (3 lb 7 oz). Freaking monsters! Broly will be end up bigger than his father.

Finally recorded who was with which rooster for the breeding pens. I'm about to break up the breeding groups and separate the roosters away from the hens since everyone is starting to molt. I'll need more saddles for the coming winter. The big boys are just too heavy for the feathers on the favorite hens.

guess I am not serious breeder anymore no banding here
they kinda scare me use to paint toenails on puppies blue boy, pink girl, bozo pup red,
grizzly pup green and so on
by the way BF got good guffaw over @Hinotori bird of prey :wee

I use the wide plastic numbered bands. They wrap around so they can stretch some. They should just stretch open and off if the leg was too big but it wouldn't be comfortable for the bird I don't think. The silkies only wear the size 9 because of the feathers. My wheaten ameraucana hens wear that size
