Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Double check those pullets I gave you. I'm pretty sure I removed the zip tie bands that marked fathers. I always put zip ties on very loosely.

I recall you cut one off but will go check the other now Richard is building a second door so the larger birds can go out but cats cannot get at the girls

I am hoping the gals say the eastern thread is not really active but they are all are in here have you looked at the local craigs list? or called any real estate companies

I just started my research, and am starting to look at real estate companies and homes online. I hope I can take them with me. I just figured I would start here so I don't sound like the crazy chicken lady posting on FB or other sites hahaha.

Washingtonians! Hi! Just got my very first chicks Wednesday. We’re struggling. I just lost a chick today to who knows what. I got another one acting weird and won’t stand. So I quarantined her from my others just in case it’s contageous.

Thank you for the welcome. I have no clue how the first chick passed. She was my smallest and was spry the first day. Then within 12 hours of death, she was walking a little funny and I thought maybe she was just tired and droopy. So I let her sleep and the next morning she was laying her head down between her legs almost. Wouldn’t move and just curled up in fetal position. So I called MPC, they thought wry neck and so I got polyvisol and when I got back, she was gone. Then I noticed another chick not coming so I pulled her and gave her the polyvisol, nutridrench and water. Today she has perked up! So I put her back in with the other chicks and she just isn’t coming out to eat or drink. I’m gonna continue to keep an eye on her. She has an interesting sound she’s making. It’s a quick short peeping. I know her little sound because I’ve kept her separated last night.

Black cockerels to try and fix my combs and the improve the black parts on my partridge. Takes a few generations to get back the partridge.

I'll have to look through the hens for spring breeding with them.
