Frying up one of my 8.5 pound Cornish x from last year. Put the back, neck and deboned the breast put those bones in the stew pot just barley got all the rest in one of the big electric fry pans. She was a big girl and they are so good.

Hello fellow Washington peeps! I was directed to this thread from another one where I was asking about a pullet I have. She was sold at Skagit Farmer’s as an Ameracauna, and from research I think she could be a silver, but I’ve been told she looks more like an EE. What are everyone’s thoughts?

Also, anybody else feel like they’re about to go crazy from this LOOOOONG winter?! I’m ready to plant my garden!!!

If it's sold at a feed store or from a hatchery, it's 99.9% chance that it's an easter egger and not an ameraucana or araucana

Oh, I don't bash EEs. They have been some of my best layers. I have 7 year old hatchery EE hens that are still laying well. Actually I'm looking to add a few new ones since all my large fowl are getting very old. Only hatchery breed I haven't actually had issues with
