Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Guess King county has becomes the worst that way... there is laws and quirks down here even we cannot burn a fire outside over 3 ft in diameter .. we have a great burn pot just the right size... and that is about it and no regulations on the birds

The crests on silkie crosses are so funny.

The rooster was a normal size silkie so about 2.5 pounds. If I bred the really big 4+ pound silkie rooster to some ameraucana I'd get 4+ pound hens and 5+ roosters. Would be small but still large fowl.

Hey all cooled off a good 5 degrees today ... birds aren't panting so bad have a huge fan in coop they stand it there in front of it wings puffed out like they are flying

Was just over 90 here same as sunday. Yesterday was slightly cooler.

I had the joy of hurting my back and that's made my jam making torture. Two flats of strawberries should be enough for the year. I think I did less last year, but I'm not doing blueberry at all this year and am doing less other berries. Hubby tends do go for the strawberry most.

He likes the Pacific crabapple a lot, but I never make much of that since we only have three trees and the fruit is a quarter the size of a cherry at the largest even if it does grow in clusters. Last year the buds froze but there are a lot again this year. I should be able to get two batches if he helps me pick.
