Hey Guy,
Our forecast is below 20 degrees for the next 10 days! So much for an early spring. I have 3 pullets of mine that are laying they have a light. Nice eggs pretty light on color. The Coulee City Chic's do not have any light or heat. I have 5 pullets one is laying a nice egg. Getting three eggs a week from her. Nothing from the other 4 pullets. All hatched on the same day.

My main coop has a light anyone looks at my profile they see a tarp is the cover for my coop makes it dark all year a light goes on when we open it goes off at night about 9
I get like 6 a day mostly new layers barred rock and cuckoo marans so my eggs are small somehow ended up with a banty in my main coop for the life of me cannot figure out who

I have lights in all my coops they come on about 3am I set them to stay on till 4 in the afternoon as my coops are kind of dark even though I let them out during the day. I have 9 Marans pullets that have started to lay including the 4 you gave me back Tom, the other girls you gave me are not doing much of anything they went through a hard molt in the fall that lasted a long time one of them still doesn’t have a full tail yet so probably won’t be long they look real good. The stupid ground hog said it was going to be an early spring the little liar.

Still on the fence with the groundhog here but intend to buy several marans peeps at auction this spring then give them to my silky another month they will be prolific there
