Who is that ? guess what bought 4 at auction few weeks back all pullets almost point of lay right this is one no pullet anymore

Hate when they turn out to be boys.

I'm 90% sure this is a pullet. Only just over 5 weeks. Every week that percent has gotten closer to 100. I wouldn't have cared if it was a nice looking boy.

This is the egg that the silkies managed to hide from me.

I like the hawthorn with ripe berries for backdrop.

It's just a young little silkie pullet. No crossing. Head isn't vaulted, but not all of mine have vaulted skulls.

It will look more girl as it gets older.

If I get another super friendly rooster that I won't be breeding and you change your mind, I'll let you know.

I had one that came out mostly black but was so friendly I couldn't eat him. He'd have lived his life here but I was asked if I had a people friendly rooster to just be a flock lawn ornament. He's done well at his new home.

I'll probably be keeping this little one. She's looking good so far. I do need to hatch out some eggs as soon as everyone quits molting and starts laying again.

I have some easter egger chicks due on the 8th. Only 7 eggs. They will be 1/4 silkie. I need a few more layers.

I keep ending up with cockerel kinda funny I wanted one but seems chicken god wants me to have 3 or 4 I have the girls raising three peeps blue marans I am excited to see these grow one is a cockerel 2 are pullets so beat the odds there one looks like maybe splash color has more color than the other

Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this (feel free to let me know if so and I'll delete this message!) but I'm looking to sell/rehome a young laying Easter Egger in the greater Seattle area, if anyone's looking for another laying hen to add to their flock. She's a bit of a bully and a tad loud so probably needs a larger flock and a bigger pasture (further from the neighbors) than I have.

She does have some cool coloring and lays light blue eggs if that's a selling point for anyone. Pictures in this thread.

Also, hello! I've been reading the forums as a guest since I first got my small 4-hen flock (3 weeks ago) and really appreciate the breadth of knowledge available here. I'm quickly growing to love these wacky birds (2 of mine let me pick them up and cuddle!) which happen to also give me surprise eggs.
