Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So,, how did the coon get them? whats your set up
I like getting chicks the end of May, its not all that cold out and at 2 weeks I can let then run around the run in the day time, with me supervising,,,
Oversight on our part. They have a secure coop and small run, and a large fenced run which includes a large apple tree. Have aviary netting attached to the fencing, over the large run and around the trees. During harvest, I had to move netting to access the fruit. Raccoon found an area to climb over. I had been leaving the coop run door open with no problems. Reattached the netting to the fence, but It came back and found another way to get in and dragged a girl up into the apple tree, ate, and dropped her body down into the netting. Found other girls were pecking at the carcass.( Gross) They are now secured every night, until we get an electric fence installed.
Hubby is going to redesign the layout with a smaller totally fencing covered outside run away from the tree.

YUCK"O

here we havent had a racoon or skunk, I know there are bob cats cougars coyotes and bears but with the dogs they dont come close
at the new house the coyotes are very active- we are going to widen / expand the fencing so the dogs have more room to run, I like them to be able to walk around the outside of the coop to protect the flock, I am just going to need to brace the fencing better, Ziva likes to put her paws up on the fence lolo like she can get a better view or something lolo
