Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Spent yesterday making lots of tamales with DD#3,
Yum I love tamales. They're summer food to me, as that's when ears of corn are cheap and in season. I add the fresh corn to the masa and wrap up the whole thing inside the fresh husks. Not a traditional tamale by a long shot (a bit sweeter) but really tasty still.

Annual doctor visit yesterday. She said I'm not doing too bad and had improved my A1C. Then asked of I'd had my flu shot yet. Then asked if Id had the pneumococcal shot because of the asthma and diabetes. So she had the medic to go grab them from immunization and get me. I don't have issues with getting my shots as long as they don't use the dang airgun like they did when I was in boot camp. They dont use those anymore. No good for single shots anyway.

Today bought some straw and filled the silkie pens. Then I was done. It was getting dark and my arm had had it as it was sore. I'll put down the straw in the courtyard and large fowl pen tomorrow. Mud control and builds up the soil.

Hermes got to go with me as we stopped by the vet first for a weigh and flea med. 36 pounds at 8 months. He's definitely on the big size for a mini aussie. Bounced circles around without pulling the leash like usual. So happy to see all the people. People at feed store pet him and he knows it.

Pugsley beats him at weight he is 25 lbs all muscle. Him as a cute pup then him grown and good boy.
