I've ended up with various wasps as pollinators. Still bees of some sort in the acres of blackberries but I can't ID if they're honeybees or some other variety.

So do I but have not even seen a bee all year ?

I’ve seen very few honey bees. A fair amount of bumble bees and quite a few different kinds of wasps.

These guys are in Silverdale. A fair But to drive but you could call them and see is there are others closer to you.

Oh yes the acres of blackberries! They do smell soooo good!

Smell so good, so sharp and pointy. And we don't eat them (I might make a sorbet every couple of years, that's about it) so the chickens get them by the bucket when they're in season.

My grandkids like to pick them. I noticed that a bowl full of them has a lovely mild perfume. There are so many hanging in huge clusters right now that I can smell them walking by.

That’s the same thing I’m wrestling with. Mine has only the 15 lb weight too. I figured I’d see how close the guage is when the weight starts jiggling.

Got my new three piece weight today! I'll need to test it sometime and see how close the dial gauge is at 5, 10 and 15 pounds of jiggler weight. And to make sure the jiggler seals on the vent tube correctly. If not, new vent tubes are pretty cheap.

Darn. Just checked and the new weight doesn't fit onto the vent tube. Also, the the old one weighs 98.3 grams. The new one, all three pieces, weighs 84.4 grams. Hmmmm....

And it's not a genuine Presto weight as the product description suggested. I'm returning it.
