Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I do make baking powder biscuits from time to time.
Have not made sausage gravy and biscuits in long time.
I do not add salt to any food besides dough then very tiny amount.

He can have less than a teaspoon everyday from any source. Many things have their own sodium. All animal products have some. Some plants have some.

Ive never been one for salting veggies. Mom never did. Meat needs something so that gets potassium chloride. Dont like the taste on anything else. Potatoes gets a measured amount of salt after cooking.

Been using hotter spices. Makes stuff taste better when not as much salt.

Bunch of NY Strip steaks chilling in the freezer. The excess fat can be rendered later. Some will be ground and go into that lean ground pork so I can make sausage.

And now I want biscuits and gravy but am too tired for that. Fajitas it is. Only need to cut an onion for that.

Finally ran out of eggs - oh the shame of having to creep over to my neighbor's roadside stand to buy eggs. :( Had one hen resume laying, laid about 10 eggs, and stopped again. With my youngest birds nearing 4 yrs old, we're definitely getting a few more chicks this year!

I lost like 10 birds last year most my old girls did loose 2 hatchery stock.
I replaced some. I have 9 in my incubator keeping my fingers crossed.
I hate losing birds.

I lost a bunch to a weasel a few months ago. I need to replace them this year
