Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I dumped the 17% layer feed out of the feeder and combined it with the same amount of 27% game bird feed. So, does that make the feed mix 22% protein?

The girl with waterbelly is still functioning pretty well, but there was an egg covered with blood in the nest box this morning. I suspect that she laid it. Otherwise, it was a nicely formed egg.

Oh crud that is bad have you told the Dr.
That is really hard on the body.
I closed the coop last night bit late old lady problem.
Had last three I hatched here 3 bluish barnyard pullets not in the coop.
Searched did not find them all three out there this morning.

No I didn’t tell them. I’ve already got inhalers so don’t think they’d give me anything else.

Wonder where they were hiding.

When DH went out to close them all in last night, it appeared to him that the 2 new pullets wanted to go in with Ralphie. Going to consider that, and if they are out there like that tonight, just allow them in with him. It could help him not be so lonely and they seem to want to be with him, but will he get all hormonal and hurt the young pullets? What is your opinion?

They are 5 months old now. We got the three together, and they seem to have wanted to be back together ever since we saved Ralphie from Cooper.
