I don't actually know what to do with gourd type squash.

I still have one big butternut squash left over from last year. I think I'll cook it in the microwave today.
Just finished mowing two back yards, mine and my neighbor's. I should run the weed trimmer, but that's work, not fun like riding the mower.
I half-filled a 2 quart yogurt tub with trimmed, crushed tomatoes and put it in the freezer. When I have enough of them I'll make tomato sauce and can it.
Five eggs today. I've been mixing high protein (27%) gamebird feed with their layer pellets at about a 1 to 2 ratio. The girls have plenty of shells (egg and oyster) for calcium.
Anyway, I think they are laying better eggs because of the extra protein. And it could be a coincidence, but none of the chickens have eaten any eggs lately.
Went in the garden found 3 zucchini one smaller for us and 2 over grown ones I am baking those for the birds.
One pumpkin nice and orange not real huge.
Noticed the tomato are starting to ripen all of a sudden.
I baked them took them up they ate shell and all both the big girls and the banty.
Kim would you want to join us cooking squash ?
Oh heck I forgot about the finger how is it doing ?
This happened with a kitchen knife? Man that’s really serious! I hope it heals fast and very well! They let me out of brace except for sleeping. Compression glove and pinky strapped to ring finger. Gentle straightening started yesterday to go with the curling.
No strengthening exercises yet. All mobility for a few more weeks. This takes a long time to heal.
I may never be able to fully straighten it again, but it will be usable and not get hung up or caught on anything.
