The one we call shift knob is polish and silkie.
Close feathers to the body all black shift on her head is polish head puff.

Yes. Depending on the mite type you may need to treat both birds and coop. Powder permethrin is easier on birds in cold weather, while liquid is better for spraying coop.

I use ivermectin pour on

Meant to mention that Dawn Powerwash kills mites on surfaces fairly quick. Just soak it down and let it dry. Tried it earlier this year when I had an outbreak and was going to mix up some dish soap with water in a spray bottle to get them. Couldn't find the spray bottle.
