Glad it was just the thermostat. My new heat pump came with a 10 year warranty, which is nice. Also nice, my first full month electric bill with the heat pump. It used 65% less electricity than my old electric furnace did, same month last year.

Oh yeah, heat pump is under warranty. Our electric bill went down a lot after getting the new one too. A nice benefit since they are so expensive to buy.

I heard the wind was bad on Whidbey, no wind here. It does seem to be warming up though, the snow was getting heavy when I shoveled.

I didn't notice much wind down here in SW WA but all the ditches are full of running water and there are big puddles in my yard. Yesterday was a rainy day.

Yep. An inch in 24 hours here. Not abnormal but it has to have time to drain off. Mostly has now

I don't think we had any rain yesterday either. Went to Longview for part of the day. Got all the cookies mailed. Will make another batch of jam thumbprints today so I'll have a variety to take to a party tomorrow night.

I gave the chickens a pile of bones and skin from some chicken breasts. After they gorged, they were real lazy for a couple hours. LOL

Mine got some finely chopped pecans laced with egg white. Quite the treat they say.

Done with all cookies for 2024!!

I convinced the doctor to take me off a medication that has made me sick, achy and lethargic for 4 1/2 years. Now I will have to go to OHSU for CT Scans every 3 months, but that is a fair trade! I am feeling better than I have in 7 years!!!

Welp, I'm spending my day resetting my main laptop. For some reason Windows got compromised. I do have PC Matic, so no idea why this happened. Very frustrating because I have to reload all my software that I use. I chose the restore button that saves my data, so hopefully that is all in tact. Just how I wanted to spend the day.

Computer all reset. Wasn't so bad. I was able to do it without losing any of my personal data. Just had to reload Windows and a couple programs. Whew!
