Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I bet the meat in the freezer is still good if you cook it immediately. It should have held the cold if the door wasn't opened up during that time. No different than thawing a roast in the fridge for 3 or 4 days, in my opinion. But I could be wrong. LOL

Throw a big party and tell people to bring their grills with them!
i agree with this.

I just found out that the power was out in my neighborhood for 4 days! I guess we’ll be dumping contents of fridge and freezer first thing when we get home.

I don’t mind a good clean out but I’m going to be heartbroken if I find a rib roast in there! :gig

My upright deep freezer will still be frozen meat at 4 days if door stays shut. It's always pretty packed in there. Anything in cardboard may thawed enough to toss.

Trick is to have a container of ice that you put a penny on top of the ice. If it melts any then refreezes, the penny will sink in the ice

I wish I’d known about the penny on the ice thing! 😞

The freezer is hopefully working and everything refrozen. I sure hope so because we won’t be back till the 12th! Thanks for the encouragement though, if I have a roast in the back I’ll try thawing it and seeing how it goes.

Did Nachos in town last night grand as always.
Called in the order went down picked it up.
They where so happy to see us no charge.
Since they opened we have been going there never expected it free.
Isn’t that great to know how much they appreciate you? That’s wonderful and nobody here is surprised!
