Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Looks great let us know if it ferments faster or stronger.
I may have to give a go I loved how Grandma made it.
I bought some at Jeremy's produce in Chehalis that is pretty good but expensive.
I will. I'll get at least a half gallon of good kraut for about $3.00 worth of cabbage and a little work. It'll be a lot cheaper if I'm successful at growing cabbage this year.

Got it in the fermenter. The finer cut of cabbage releases liquid quicker and packs down easier.

I just found out that the power was out in my neighborhood for 4 days! I guess we’ll be dumping contents of fridge and freezer first thing when we get home.

I don’t mind a good clean out but I’m going to be heartbroken if I find a rib roast in there! :gig
I bet the meat in the freezer is still good if you cook it immediately. It should have held the cold if the door wasn't opened up during that time. No different than thawing a roast in the fridge for 3 or 4 days, in my opinion. But I could be wrong. LOL

Throw a big party and tell people to bring their grills with them!
