Well I am caught up for now. It's has been one of those weekends. This came to stay with Grammy and DGP for the weekend. She has been driving her mom just a little to crazy this past week, so we are giving her mommy and daddy a break.

I can truly state that it is not easy cooking a full turkey diner for 15 people, is not easy with a very tall Great Dane in the house. Miss Nala can see and reach anything on any of my kitchen counters.

Nala seems to have more nervous energy than any dog should ever have. She and my Jet have had some serious talking smack conversations in the past two days. I have never seen my Jet so intimidated by another dog. I don't think he thought that another dog could be bigger than he is. Nala is very tall, and still really a puppy still. I think that she is going to fill out over the next year.

It has been a little overwhelming around here with 7 dogs in the house. At least we have gotten to have dinner with both of our kids. DD and her DH are coming to dinner, and pick up his dog. My DH is looking forward to the kids arrival, and their departure with their dgo.

Your story me of when I was about 6 years old. My mom, who was a single mom and very poor, had baked cookies for us kids. That was a very rare event in those days. It was a summer day, and mom left the back door open. She had them cooling on the clothes dryer that was in our kitchen and the door open. She went to her bedroom and I watched a huge dog, taller than me, walk in the house and eat every last cookie! I ran and got my mom, she came out, saw the Great Dane finishing them up and burst into tears. She wanted to give us a treat so badly. While the situation was overwhelming for her at the time, it was awesome because that story has been one that we have laughed about for years. I wouldn't be surprised if she brings that story up again, while she's here over Christmas.

My brother-in-laws family raises Great Danes. They're good dogs, and sweet as can be. My only advice is stay clear of the wagging tail!

OK peeps is there ANYBODY in or close to the Spanaway area who would be willing and able to help me move/carry something from a barn to my truck? I have been told this would probably only take about 10 minutes. Or I would be willing to share one with somebody that can help. I have been told I will need at least 2 more strong people! ANYBODY?????

Here is what we would be moving and for help I would be willing to share one complete unit.

I'm with you. Sex, religion, and politics (gun control comes under politics) don't belong here. They belong in the random ramblings section. Anyone who wants to talk gun control should go there to start a thread, properly labelled, so people know what they're getting into or can choose to avoid the thread. I don't want to be ambushed here.

Some of us have been active posters on this thread for years. We have a diverse variety of opinions, and somehow to manage to only slighly annoy each other, occasionally.
This is a chat thread on a chicken forum, not a chicken thread.
If it weren't for all the varied people here making this a fun and informative thread, it would have died with Napalongtails several years ago.

WOW it appears somebody is in fine form today. Too bad he is so far from Spanaway I could really use some of that energy!

Still looking for help in Spanaway !!!! ANYBODY ??? You would get the opportunity to learn some rustling skills while taking part in my biggest rustling project yet !!!!
