Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Does anyone ever go Christmas Caroling any more? I would so love to do that but can't find anyone willing. When DH asked what I wanted for Christmas I told him I just wanted everyone to sing carols on Christmas Day. It's so easy but I'm sure it won't happen.

I miss the old fashioned traditions of Christmas. It seems that it has to be a mountain of gifts and busy lives and very little heart. But I'm probably just romanticizing it. Well... I'm try to do my part and see how it goes. At least I'll be playing Christmas songs on the stereo!

Take Care everyone! Give a Hug to everyone you know!
Peace & Joy!
Merry Christmas!

I would love to do this! We used to every year when I was a kid. Many neighbors would have cookies & hot chocolate ready for us =)

DH wants to put in one of the bright 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs that we are putting in the house. They use 12 watts. That's why he said I may need 2. I was going to use one size down.

Somewhere I have an instruction page that has directions on how to set up the inverter and put in a light switch to my light. DH has already picked out the deep cycle battery he wants to put in there. I'm only on the phone so can't look for it right now.

I fell off a step stool and bit it today. Bruised and think I did something to my big toe. I'm doing wonderful. Good thing DH is driving.
The problem with an inverter is that they eat a lot of battery power in the process of turning 12VDC into 110VAC. This means that the usable time of battery will be reduced. The better plan would be to go with straight 12 VDC lights.
Sorry to hear about the stool jumping out from under you. Hope yer OK.

Frodo is improving! She ate an egg and a half and some scratch/sunflower seeds. She also drank a lot of water and is starting to fly around.

However - from what I can see she is blind in one eye and when she tries to eat she often misses (way off).

I got some butterfly bandages to see if I could close it, didn't work.

The wound is gaping at the back of the neck. A grey film is forming over the top. When she moves her head, the grey film stays in place and the tissue beneath moves.

I don't know that we can attach it - there is just nothing to attach it to.

Please let me know if you can suggest anything to close the wound. See how it was just under her scalp? There is about 1/2 strip missing.

I'm honestly amazed, she is getting stronger and stronger. She prefers my lap. Good thing I have a week off!

I feel compelled to warn my friends and anybody else who may see this. There is somebody "claiming" to be Sww Chicken Rescue. I know that they have contacted people who are trying to sell chickens. They have ask these people to "GIVE" them the chickens. They are also ask people for donations They also show pics of what really appear to be hatchlings. Now WHY would a RESCUE contact sellers and ask them to GIVE them birds and them ask people for donations of feed along with equipment? When I inquired I got back a less than kind reply and then they removed the entire post. Something here just doesn't seem right!!!

What a strong girl! Can you tell how bad the eye injury is? That is, is this blindness temporary?
