I found tiny Skye stuck in an upside down 5 gallon bucket tonight after dark. The coop door had blown shut after 7 of the 8 hens went to bed, I couldn't find her anywhere. She must have tried to perch on the edge of the bucket and it flipped over on her. I was never so happy to see a chicken.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! What a surprise! The view from the front door to the coop/run/next year's veggie garden. The snow began at 4:00am and continued until nearly 10, leaving nearly 4" to tromp and play in.

So pretty.......

The girls were wishing for a white Christmas. Never mind that it turns to slush so quickly. I love it! And we still made it out the driveway and down 1/2 mile of dirt road to make it for Christmas dinner with the fam.
