Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hmmm, they don't roost at all? I went to the beach and picked up a cool piece of madrona for the coop roost, and it has many levels, what if I started it on the floor and angled it upward?

If not, then I better get more than one! What do the BYCers call them? Fluffy toilet paper?

Mine are in the tractor right now. There is a roost about a foot off the ground. The only one that uses it is Riddick, the orphan LF cockerel. If it gets cold enough he will pile with the Silkies for extra warmth. There is a 6" wide ramp that leads up to the roost, so the not being able to fly has nothing to do with it. They just prefer to pile.

OK, TPT! Where did you get your babies from??! I need two or three

I can't wait to set eggs in my incubator. This time I WILL get some eggs to hatch. My mom gave me her eggs from yesterday and today (9 eggs) friday she's going to give me all that she collects between now and friday, plus the other eggs being shipped to me. I should have a good hatch. I'm planning to do it staggered. Everytime I do a staggered hatch i get good hatch rates, if i do it where all eggs go in at the same time i end up with very few hatching. Not sure why i have such bad results that way.

Fairly productive school day today. We've stopped trying to do school in the mornings and are now using up our afternoons doing school. Much more productive after he gets some craziness out through the morning.

DH is going out of town from Friday through Wednesday and I'm excited I'll have a car (we share it). I told him "You know I'd miss you more if I didn't get the car the whole time you're gone"
