And it was very funny when they were trying to drink from a rocking nipple waterer. It looked they were shaking their heads - "no," "no," "no"...

Wanna know what's more distracting while driving than talking on cell phone? Having cute little chicks on the floor, in a clear container, right next to ya. I laughed my whole way there. And, I don't think I remember much of the drive.

Hopefully I can catch up and respond in a more timely fashion, now.

I'm pretty ticked off right now; I just went outside and realized I had left the lid of the Scratch/BOSS/Oats mixture off all night long and it was all wet. Mostly the top layer, but there's no way to separate what is wet/damp from the dry on the bottom. It's probably $50 worth of goods that I'm going to have to toss. I don't know how to dry it out otherwise :( And I don't want to give them too much BOSS because of the risk of crop impaction, so it's going to be wasted. If I had time I'd dry it all out pan by pan in the oven, but I don't have time for that.
Hey, tomorrow and Sat. the weather's supposed to be great. Any chance of dumping it out on a tarp or something to let it dry in the sun?

Jess, why toss it. I feed my wild bird seed mix wet in my FF. It sits in the bucket for a few days. If I was you I would separate what is wet and put it in a sealable container or completely submerge it in water to keep mold from forming. Then toss out a couple of cups worth into the run.

hey I tried this last night and it turned out very tasty. A comfort food if you will.

Baked Penne
1 pkg penne pasta
1 tbs olive oil
1 lb hot Italian sausage (or mild)
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 c of white wine
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 6 oz can of tomato paste (I used what I had on hand, it had basil and garlic in it)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, (more would be much better)
Pre heat oven to 350>>>>cook pasta, drain and set aside
heat oil in deep skillet, add sausage, onion, garlic and cook until meat is evenly browned
(drain excess fat)
add wine (do not drink) and cook for about 1 min, stirring.
add t. sauce, t. paste and diced t's.
simmer 10 min. toss pasta with mixure
place in 9x13 baking dish, cover top with mozzarella
bake for 20 min or until the cheese melts.
a tossed salad finished this for me.
This was from All Recipe, I did change it up a tad. Next time I will add mushrooms.
"Try it you'll like it", Mikey says.
About 45 min from start to table.

Ok my new friends- I have my first story for you and it's a good one! :D
My husband just went to the feed store and was looking at little giant still air incubators to use as a hatcher because we have a staggered hatch. Well they were still a little spendy for just a hatcher. Next thing he knows a man walks up to him, taps him on the shoulder, hands him something, walks off...
It was a $25 gift certificate to the feed store! So I've got my hatcher, and it was only $35 out of pocket!
I think it's time for a happy dance!
