Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Cool, the more the merrier I say. I will be there from 9-1(at the latest). My son is having his BDay party that night so can't stay til the end. But I am coming more to meet BYC peeps than anything else.

My GF and I will be there in the morning as I work Saturday swing shift and have to be back in Everett by 2pm. How will I know where to meet these peeps?

Sadly I must report that my BGF's new baby RIR died yesterday. We are down to 5 babies. We saw she was not acting like a baby chick running around yesterday. By 6pm she was gone. So, she will get another RIR next week. In the mean time we have some busy babies running around in the pen.

So what the heck happened to our "64 and sunny"? Geez, this is rotten weather now- the rain is coming down so hard, how is a person supposed to get all this spring work done? argh!

we've got 3 chicks now-- 2 of them are the 2 EE's we put in our inCOOLbator from our hens, and one is a silver leghorn. There's no sign of any life at all from all of the others we got from Kummer farms. The InCOOLbator window is now so fogged up it's hard to see now, but if there was a pip or something it would be visable. Hmmm..

Aren't they absolutely ADORABLE?! We just brought them home from Cowgirl Grace's. they are wheaten ameraucanas, maybe blue wheaten, we'll see.

They are really cute, I have to get me some more! Just one thought though, I was under the impression that true Ameraucanas have slate coloured legs, and it looks like the one at left has pink/orange legs?

The pallet coop is done except for paint and hardware cloth. Probably moving Betty Lu and her chicks in to it tonight. Will move everyone else in a few days. Got one side of the run done. The other side requires the dog run panels that are currently the coop they are in. So that is why they wont be moved yet. I will have to put up a temp fence and then disassemble the coop and move the panels into the fence-line. Then cover it with the bird netting. Pics will be tomorrow. I spent too much time outside today, need to let my allergies have a break.

You are making me jealous. Sorry about the allergies though, what a bummer.

I don't know, but I have met a few that will be there so I will be looking for them to point out others. I am sure I will post what I will be wearing to the show the night before

Well it is not a "covered" run, that would be expensive(28'x35'). It is just gonna have bird netting(2 14'x45') to keep hawks out.

Hey guys does anyone know anything about joining 4H? My daughter wants to show pygmy goats. Shes 9. I am not sure we are going to be able to get one yet or not BUT I wanted to look into it. I wanted to know about the cost involved and if the animals show have to be registered or what rules or whatnot are involved...
