I am so sorry for your loss. They're not just doggies. They're part of the family for us and we're their pack. If possible if it were me I'd put Demon in one of his favorite spots and plant something so he'll always watch over the flock.

i put demon at my moms under the tree he had to mark every time we were there as his tree. I live in the city and i rent so i couldn't bury him here.

Demon passed on today
Threw the tears and pain I am searching for a good breeder that isn't over priced. Trying to keep my mind off of him and on better things. I would spend time with my chickens but it just reminds me that he's not here to watch over them.

I'm wondering if someone connected with Lab Rescue might be able to find a dog that would be a good match for you. I'm actually having coffee tomorrow morning with a gentleman who is on the board for Humane Spay and Neuter of Tacoma, is a volunteer and television spokesman for Pierce County Humane Society and works with Lab Rescue. I'll bet he has a lot of connections. Would you like me to inquire for you?

I have creamy white ones like that- very light tint- from the faverole-looking hen we just got recently. (I think).
What a nice little hen!

I've got a chickie-tank brooder full of fun to watch here!

DH and I did not get as far as we wanted on the new chicken house today- too occupied/distracted with the chicks here. We got it cleaned out and got a roost layed out- just have to make the rungs snug still. We decided to make it with natural "dowels" and just use milled lumber for the sides. We used a 1 3/4" hole saw it to make holes in the wood runners, then threated the sticks thru. I'll take a pic once it's done.

I'm on the hunt for some cheap linoleum for a floor covering in the coop. If anyone knows where to find it dirt cheap, let me know? (I need 8x10 ft). I also need some counter-top material for a poop board....

She is very pretty and lays a nice BIG egg!

Oh hun, I am so very sorry. I know that is hard, and yes it is very ok to be happy about him passing so that he is now out of pain.
