Threw the tears and pain I am searching for a good breeder that isn't over priced. Trying to keep my mind off of him and on better things. I would spend time with my chickens but it just reminds me that he's not here to watch over them.

So sorry your Demon is gone. There is nothing wrong with feeling happy that your dog is no longer suffering. I lost my first toy poodle suddenly (we heard him barking, silence,.. never did find him) and it really hit me hard. He was such a character but it was a consolation he went suddenly and did not suffer.

This is the former dog/goat pen that will become my babies new home in 7 weeks.
Need to replace the supports for the roof and put the tarp on.
I need to remove the boards from this side so I can see my girls inside from the house.



Above you can see the trampoline that will become the trampoline/tractor by adding the chicken fabric around the edges.
This will allow the girls to clear the bugs from the yard and fertilize also.

well, we had to open the inCOOLbator because chicks kept falling off the mesh tray to the bottom of the cooler we made in to this inCOOLbator, and because the humidity had gone way down last night and we had a chick stuck in the shell. We quickly opened it, transferred the hatched chicks to the brooder, and misted/sprayed the incubartor. I tried to lift the shell off one of the chicks- and he was stuck to his shell, so I sprayed that one- that had top and bottom shells stuck to it. Within a couple minutes, he was able to finally free himself.

We've got 7 more eggs that need hatched, and can clearly see 3 of them are pipped- so might have some more soon- unless we got too much humidity when we sprayed- hoping not!

One of our hatched babies had a crooked foot, so we made him a nice little fashionable sandal- here's pics of that!

Hi this is chickens4gramma. Well, I no longer have my chickens due to my parents declining health, but I wanted to offer my parent's greenhouse to anyone who would be interested in dismantling and salvaging it.. It is mostly glass with a glass screen door, a shingled roof with plexiglass panels, no floor. I have several pictures on my iPhone, but not sure how to get them on here. If you are interested, e mail me your phone # and I'll send them to you. My e mail is [email protected] The greenhouse is located in Auburn and is free to anyone who will take all of it away. We don't want a pile of stuff left for my 80 year old mom to have to haul away. It was custom built on site and was very expensive at the time. Thanks!

Had to get 1 more.....

Today I went and got a Gold Star from Pam at Raincreek! She's only 2 days older than the 3 AMs I got from CGG yesterday. When we got her home I put her in with the other 3 and nobody even batted an eye. yippee for that.

She must have gotten very tired from the trip, although it was only about a half hour. She's sleeping a LOT. I've seen her eat, drink and poop, but she mostly sleeps. I hope by morning she'll be more peppy like the others. Do y'all think there is any reason for concern? btw she was vaccinated for mereks and she is 7 days old.

I am so sorry for your loss. They're not just doggies. They're part of the family for us and we're their pack. If possible if it were me I'd put Demon in one of his favorite spots and plant something so he'll always watch over the flock.
