Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

OK so I am really having a hard time keeping up. Partially because we are going so fast and partly because I have been pretty busy. Besides the normal things at home, trying to get items made for 3 big upcoming events and trying to get a big coop (well kind of 4 coops) expansion going and done.
Here is a bit of what is keeping me busy.
This is the dragon I have helped my friend make. There are some thing over 5000 scales on it. I cut out about 90% of those free hand with his plasma cutter. I also made the spine and wings

I designed and build most of the head.

Here is Steve for perspective.

And more recently. I was asked to make something that looks similar to this for a wall hanging. For $300 (

) it is only about 6' long. It will be on the walls of a law firm in Oregon by next week.

Outstanding CR just Outstanding!

Yup and like I said I will believe it when I see it. I have a CD of many more pics. See we had a photographer take pics and then he photo shopped some. Made the dragon different colors and added scenery to it. Very nice pics that we hope should help to sell it. IF anybody would like to look at the pics just to see how cool he made it look. send me pm.
CR make sure you get credit-written- for the work you did on it.

I just had to share this, that is what I see every morning, rain or shine. The funny part is that those three brother are not hand tamed, they

will not let you go too near them.

I have to say, with all this talk of building stuff, I really, really wish that I could weld. A lot of the way I visualize stuff comes from my dad's tendency to weld pen frames and gates and the foundation for the greenhouse hoop house out of whatever rebar and pipe are hanging around (my BIL also welds, but he learned in school and follows the rules, although some of his stuff- notably the back gate between his family place and the McMansion development are prone to giantism: it's made of some 6" and 8" diameter iron pipe that I suspect was part of his grandfather's post WW2 scrap metal pile; there's a 7 foot brass ocean going vessal propellar out in the middle of one of the fields). Wood is cheap and I can work it, but it's brittle, and it rots.

Given that I've got grip and sensation problems in my hands, this is not the time of life when I should have picked up that skill, I fear.

Found out I am going to be a grandma again in Nov. by my son. It will be a busy month in the baby department that month. My grandson is also adding a new addition onto his family. I have my fingers crossed for a girl someplace along the line. A Grandma and Great-Grandma again in the same month. Man, My work is done. Now go forth and multiply.
I rather hope it's by your daughter-in-law and not your son.

With the nice weather forecasted this weekend I will get some pics of the Catdance Silkie chicks. Also shoud be able to get the Silkie coop/pen built this weekend. Wish I had this warm forcast on a different weekend other than Easter, we would so be playing paintball. Last year was so wet we did not get to play at all, was not safe to be in the forest without requiring cleats.

I completly destroyed the ankle about 20 years ago and had it reconstructed. In january I rolled it pretty bad and did some nerve damage that is very, very slow to heal. pain and numbness from the heal to the end of the big toe. Doc says it is improving, but just slowly.
How horrible! Nerve damage is the worst of any injury. Luckily, once they decompressed my neck and removed the ruptured discs, it too the pressure off the nerves and I have feeling in my fingers again.

I hope you are getting some physical therapy - it's been a big help in my shoulder recover. Perhaps it can help you too.

I'm being a slug too Mikey! It seems like everyone in this area has got a sore throat and some sort of allergy-type illness.
I have zero gittyup and go today. I've been puttering around the house, but since the sun is out, I'm goign to get my fanny outside.
I have done a bit too much for the past several days myself. Break day here, so I'm sitting in the sun looking at all that still needs to be done. The phone rings and it's my youngest DD , she lives in HI. telling me she sitting on the beach enjoying the sun too. It's just not the same
