OK question... Second chick has hatched... but its still attached to the shell by the umbilical? He is dragging it around the bator... no blood or anything. Should I worry?

So far out of the 5 chicks hatched all are from you. I think one is a splash. I will message you a picture of them once they dry so you dont miss it because I know your busy.

It broke off it was one little string thing that was holding it to the shell... Humidity is at 72% right now...

Try hard to not go over 60% humidity

WOW!!! Who forgot to turn off the fan and sprinkler? The rain and wind keep waking me up from my happy drug induced nap! Hope everyone is enjoying the day inside!

My sis left yesterday with my 2 year old niece. She was such a huge help but at the same time having a little one running around was tough too.

Went on my second big outing for the week! Yesterday I was able to see my twins last big performance of their high school cheer careers! Then the icing on the cake was all of their friends coming over to check on me and hug me! I love them kiddos! However my outing was cut short with a doctors appointment to have my bandage changed......borrrrring! Then I was so exhausted it was bedtime & med time!

are you doing the "fermented feed" recipe with the ACV to get the full probiotic effect, or just wetting the feed with water? My girls have loved the fermented feed so far. I am so relieved
and feel it will be good for them and less waste.

I don't have ACV (not even sure what that is) so I just wet it down. They are so into the wet/damp feed now that they don't even really go for the dry feed any more.

Edit: Actually, today when I put in the fresh grass and the wet feed, they ignored the wet feed to eat the grass. They have become grass lovers and expect fresh grass twice a day now. See how I spoil my chicks?

We are up to 5 chicks.... They are all BBS JG from CL... Funny they are all out of the same eggs... They are running around like crazy. Should I be worried they are running all over the unhatched eggs?

My daughter was worried the chicks would kill the eggs by rolling them around because I told her on day 18 when we took them off the turner they didnt need to moved anymore. So she was freaking out a little.
