I want all you NOOBIES to understand that IF I or any other BYCer rallies for a vote for a member here, you DO NOT HAVE TO VOTE HOW I SAY, or how anyone else says, BYC is alot like the US of A, in that, you can nominate & vote for whomever you choose to, OK ?

I meself, feel it is the pink DADDY's TIME~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He is so attuned to us all, and is so worried about us all...he is a big softie.........

......a big sweetie....

....a wonderful man, a wonderful friend .

About to catch myself up on the best show ever!!!!!! New Doctor Who, here I come!

I just watched that show for the first time yesterday. It was different, I may have to check it out more.

Start in Season 1 and GO! It's cheesy and almost silly at first but you'll be LOVING it and addicted in no time. I had to watch exactly 6 episodes before I was hooked forever.

I havent been on much but thought I'd come on and share some pictures

Zeus's first outing to learn some basic Service dog (in training) things WITH a professional dog trainer at my side.

My freak egg i got yesterday. The side facing up is completely flat. I am not sure what happened, but it looks like maybe it came out sideways or something.

How do I find the link to the page to nominate someone? I know you posted it earlier, but I can't find it! How can I just find it any old time?

I don't have ACV (not even sure what that is) so I just wet it down. They are so into the wet/damp feed now that they don't even really go for the dry feed any more.

Edit: Actually, today when I put in the fresh grass and the wet feed, they ignored the wet feed to eat the grass. They have become grass lovers and expect fresh grass twice a day now. See how I spoil my chicks?

Your girls are lucky that you spoil them so much; but it is so fun! ACV - apple cider vinegar - unfiltered kind - available at most stores; think I found mine at Safeway. I am told we are supposed to put it in their drinking water also to prevent mites, etc.

Wow. How much of a DOH moment can I have??? I knew about apple cider vinegar in water to help keep the water for longer periods, but never made the connection to ACV. I will get some and add to water. What is the ratio?

Wildly off topic...can't relate this to chickens at all...but it was a big event, so I had to share.
A few years back I was teaching in a VERY small 2-room school. I was very close to all my students and their families, but one student really stood out. Because of our set-up, I had her for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I'm good friends with her mom, and the student and I just clicked. Several years later, when she was in high school, she was my high school aide for 2 years. She went off to college, and she now teaches my daughter's preschool class in my same building. Well, today she got MARRIED!!! (to another former student of mine, I might add!) My daughter and I went to her wedding. Absolutely surreal.

As my 103 year old grandmother said when I told her, "I bet that makes you feel OLD!" Thanks for the perspective, Grandma!

CENTRALIA, Wash. (AP) — The Washington Transportation Department says a radar-triggered camera will start snapping photos of speeders next Monday in an Interstate 5 construction zone in Lewis County.
Agency spokeswoman Alice Fiman says the automated camera is being used in an effort to slow drivers and improve safety.
Travelers will see signs that warn "Speed limit photo enforced." A small SUV parked near the highway will monitor speeds in both directions. The camera will photograph the rear license plates of speeders. Offending drivers could find a $137 citation in the mail.
The Transportation Department says the cameras were used in two work zones on I-5 south of Olympia in 2008 and 2009. Most recently, the cameras were used on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass.
