I worked with a guy who didn't know about the "easter eggs". A few years ago, I took him some blue and green from my Ameraucana/Sumatra cross hens. He thought they were cool, but was grossed out about eating them, so he gave them to his mom. He too only liked white eggs.

Help! Help!
I have a problem that I hope someone on here might be able to help me with! To make a long story short, I have a hen who was attack by one of my other hens last Wednesday and on Thursday she hatched ONE egg. She has some leg injury and can't walk or stand up. When she tries to falls over and often falls on her baby. She is trying very hard to take care of this little one, but is struggling. I really feel I should cull the mother hen, so I am looking for someone who is willing to adopt the baby or someone who could raise her with their own chicks and I will be willing to buy her back when she is feathered out. She was born around noon last Thursday and is healthy and active. The dad is a BL/RW and the mom is either a Buckeye or a Black Java. I'm pretty sure its the Java. Anyone interested please PM me!

I am too far away and don'y have any babies. I wish we were closer. I would put her under the Silkiebator. Then you could have her back when / IF ya were ever tough enough to take her away from Silkiebator.

She is one tough cookie. Nearly tore me up the other day when I was trying to take her and the 2 babies (from Kim) outside.

I find it very interesting that when someone makes a simple statement, such as "I find that offensive" that instantly lots of folks think that's not "playing nice". Those folks certainly took what was said and made a much bigger deal out of it than it was.

I'm not commenting on this topic any further.
