Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

First four are in the brooder. They've figuring out the drinker already. I put a few drops of coconut vinegar in, which they seem to like. Is it too early to offer food?

Adorable! You can put crumbles out any time. When they're ready they'll eat them. I like to mix un-chlorinated water in with it, it's easy for them to eat and they don't kick it out of the feeder so easily. All my birds love wet feed actually. The only no-no is people food (like fruit or veggies) for now. When you do, they need grit first.

9 pipped and a couple zipping, 6 in the back that haven't pipped yet.

I removed the midterm quitter, got the embryo out and cleaned it off. Photo below.

Agree! We feed our flock fermented feed and wet crumble for the chicks. They'll get grit once they're out of the neonatal unit :D

I do a slightly different form of FF using probiotic/lactobacillus/effective microorganisms (many names for the same thing). By adding it to the wet feed it pre-digests it like FF without the mess and odor. I just mix it a day or two before I feed it.

Do you have 2 dozen eggs hatching? That's a lot of fluff and sweetness!

What breed are they?  or are they farm mix?
Silver Leghorns, Spangled Russian Orloff and Mahogany RO. All from Kummer Poultry.

Still have 4 unhatched in the incubator (1 pipped) , 14 in the neonatal unit, and one chick in the incubator I had to help. It had a bloody pip and didn't make much progress overnight so I pulled the shell off finding it was stuck to the membrane/shell with dried blood and couldn't turn to zip. It's very weak from its efforts and has a slightly protruding yolk sac, so I left it in the incubator to recover if it can.
